GLEs:  2.1.1. Understand how to generate and evaluate questions that can be answered through scientific investigations.  2.1.2. Understand how to plan and conduct systematic and complex scientific investigations. 2.1.3. Synthesize a revised scientific explanation using evidence, data, and inferential logic.

Lesson:  Students watch movie about "Bridges" and complete question sheet.

Assignment:  Hand in question sheet by end of class.

2007/01/10, Wednesday, Science-9

GLEs:  2.1.1. Understand how to generate and evaluate questions that can be answered through scientific investigations.  2.1.2. Understand how to plan and conduct systematic and complex scientific investigations. 2.1.3. Synthesize a revised scientific explanation using evidence, data, and inferential logic.

Lesson:  Distribute "Experimental Design" guidelines to students.  Using overhead, Reimer shows students how to write an experiment and students copy this down through "Data Table."  Students begin collecting data in class (experiment to be completed tomorrow.)

Assignment:  None

Assignment:  Complete experiment write-up (due Friday in classs)
