04.02 Wednesday

Objectives:

(1) Students observe and experience ionic compounds in "real life."  (2) Use technology to measure properties of ionic compounds.

Lesson:

(1) Teach student to use resistance meter (Ohm meter) to meausre conductivity in pure water, dry crystal A, crystal A dissolved in water, dry crystal B, crystal B dissolved in water; 5 tests in total.  Take all measurements on 2000 kΩ setting.  Record measurements.

Assignment:

(1) Make a graph of your data; due next class (data and graph).
