Daily Objectives: (1) Assess student understanding of solving single variable equations (1 step problems like x - 4 = 7) (2) teach 2 step problem solving ( like 2x - 4 = 7) [note: many students lost some points for not following instructions in problem solving; students did not show all steps on paper!]
Lesson: (1) Students exchange papers in class and we grade yesterday assignment and hand in graded papers. (2) Teach two step problems an demonstrate how to solve two problems.
Assignment due next class: Textbook p 168, #3-29. Be sure to show all the work (as the teacher showed you in examples in class.)

Assignment: (1) COmplete textbook page 151 #3 - p. 152 #29. (2) Summative test on adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing integers on Thursday.

Daily Objectives: (1) Grade student planner use. (2) Grade student assignment on dividing integers. (3) Review dividing my zero.
Lesson: (1) Teach students to write assignments in planner on the day it is due. Require this from today forward. (2) Review dividing integers. (3) Formative assessment on Wednesday over the four sections of today's assignment. (4) Summative assessment on Thursday over today's assignment.
Assignment: On lined paper do all the problems that are prime numbers only from the following limited selections:
Adding integers on p. 123 #11-26,
Subtracting integers on p. 130 #11-29,
Multiplying integers on p. 136 #14-25,
Dividing integers on p. 140 #11-22.
